About the Authors

Elisabeth Wolfe (L) and Annabel Monaghan (R) are authors of Click! The Girl's Guide to Knowing What You Want and Making It Happen.

The two women struck up a friendship when they were stuck selling raffle tickets together at their children's school. What started as an amazing conversation about everything from the benefits of positive thinking to stories of their teen years evolved into a joint calling.

Elisabeth and Annabel spent the next year working together to develop a guide that would help teenage girls recognize and realize goals through the power of positive thought and visualization.

"This is the book we wished we had when we were younger," said Annabel. "We wrote it because we want so badly to empower teenage girls and give them the tools to make a great life happen."

Full Bio:
Annabel Monaghan is co-author of Click! The Girl’s Guide to Knowing What You Want and Making It Happen. A third-generation Angelino, Annabel grew up in Los Angeles and attended Marlborough School, a small girls’ high school where she served as Student Body President her senior year.

She went on to attend Duke University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English. Her career steered her away from creative writing, as she spent two years after college working as an analyst for Goldman, Sachs and Co. Annabel then went on to The Wharton School where she picked up an MBA in Finance and met her husband. Their careers moved them back to New York where she worked as an investment banker for PaineWebber, Inc.

Annabel traded finance for family in 1998. She has three sons, ages nine, six, and one. She teaches Catholic religious education (catechism) and is a certified Reiki practitioner. Annabel lives in New York.

Teen claim to fame: Annabel was dumped by the cutest guy in L.A. – twice! She decided to run for Student Body President against impossible odds (AKA: the smartest girl in school) and won, thanks to her use of positive thought and energy.

Full Bio:

Elisabeth Wolfe is co-author of Click! The Girl’s Guide to Knowing What You Want and Making It Happen. She is also one of three founding partners of Three Little Chicks, a television production company she formed in 2002 that creates educational content and concepts for children's television. In 2005 the company, in conjunction with HBO Family, co-produced Prime Time Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Classical Baby.

From 2002 to 2008, Elisabeth served on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar's Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Section. In 2005 she received the President's Pro Bono Service Award from the New York State Bar Association for her dedication to pro bono causes.  An attorney by trade, Elisabeth previously worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in their Telecom and Entertainment Group and at Musicians on Call, a nonprofit organization in the music industry.

Elisabeth lives with her husband, Ed, and two young children in Rye, New York, where she dedicates a considerable amount of time to local charities, including the Port Chester Carver Center, the John Jay Heritage Center, the Westchester Children's Museum, and serves on the Auxiliary Board of the Rye Free Reading Room. She holds a B.A. from Skidmore College and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

In addition to running around (literally in her sweats and baseball cap) as the mother of two and class mom, Elisabeth has a knack for running into celebrities on the street, at airports, or while shopping…recently she almost knocked over one of the guys from Panic at the Disco in SOHO, competing for the same pair of vintage shades.

Teenage claim to fame: Elisabeth was kicked off her varsity cheerleading squad for chronic tardiness due to humidity-related hair havoc. When her ninth grade BFF dumped her for the field hockey group, Elisabeth vowed to make new friends. She used positive thought and what would later be known as the “law of attraction” to expand her social group and land the lead role in the school play.

Combined Broadcast Bio:

The “in” group, dating, grades, and gossip. These are just a few of the things teen girls deal with on a daily basis. The drive to be popular is practically eternal and can get in the way of what a girl actually wants to do with her life now – and even as an adult. Annabel Monaghan and Elisabeth Wolfe are authors of Click!: The Girl’s Guide to Knowing What You Want and Making It Happen, which teaches girls to use the power of positive thought and visualization to recognize and realize goals. Using tools like the “Focus Factor” and an “E-vite to the universe,” Click! helps teen girls zero in on who they are and what they want in a fun and effective way. Learn more about Click! at www.clickthegirlsguide.com. Welcome Elisabeth and Annabel. You say you wish you had this book when you were teenagers. Why?
